1. Put a spoonful of ghee in a hot pan. If the ghee melts immediately and turns dark brown, then it is pure ghee. If ghee takes time to melt and turns yellow, then understand that it is adulterated.
2. Take some ghee in a glass container. Heat the jar in a pot of hot water. Once thawed, put the jar in the fridge. If the ghee is stored in two layers, then you will understand that coconut oil has been mixed in the ghee.

3. Take 1 teaspoon of ghee on your palate. If the ghee melts on its own on contact with the skin, then you will understand that the ghee is pure.
